Mike Wallace Interviews Stanley Rader

This video interpretation of the famed 60 Minutes interview of Stanley Rader by Mike Wallace, linked from Google, includes a quote by journalist and magazine editor H.L. Mencken, "The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it".

If, as God's especially chosen, lone wolf "apostle" for the end-time, Herbert indeed had plainly revealed God's hidden, one true theology to the last generation, that is exactly what Herbert would do: Rule the rebellious Earth with a rod of iron as almighty "God Herbert" for the next thousand years -right along with gods Meredith, Waterhouse, Flurry and Pack.

Get the picture?

Perhaps Herbert's prophetic urge to save humanity, by warning it of certain impending destruction, was indeed a false-face for the urge to rule it. The absolute apostolic power Armstrong eventually claimed as the one-man, total authority from his authorized set of engineered true church doctrines (largely derived from J.H. Allen, Charles Taze Russell, Millerites, and Mormons), would certainly tend to support such a belief about him.

While the Rader-Wallace interview is certainly not good news per se, it does age to a certain degree like some fine vintages, and the broadcast audio might be news to some.
